A New Services Center for women in Al-Areesheh Camp The center provides lifesaving reproductive health care services, psychosocial support, one-to-one and group awareness sessions. The center is located in the camp, which hosts more than 14,000 internally displaced people, and includes a static clinic, a women and girls’ safe space, halls for vocational training, and a theatre. As well as a malnutrition treatment point for women and children supported by UNICEF.

Since the onset of the devastating earthquakes that shook Syria & Turkey, UNFPA teams are on the ground providing vital reproductive health and protection services and life-saving kits. The immediate rescue efforts may be over, but there is still so much more that can and must be done. Three months on, the needs of women and girls remain stark.
