With EU Support, UNFPA Reaches Displaced Communities in Syria, Daraa with Vital Services

In Daraa M’aaraba town, the United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA) – Syria, in collaboration with the Syrian Family Planning Association (SFPA), is providing life-saving support to families who have been displaced from Sweida and are now living in temporary shelters.

Through this mobile clinic, UNFPA and SFPA ensure that women and girls have access to medical checkups, essential medicines, reproductive health services and protection support. These interventions are critical in times of crisis, when families face heightened risks and reduced access to health care.

The initiative also includes the distribution of personal hygiene kits, helping to safeguard the dignity and well-being of women and adolescent girls. By working closely with local partners, UNFPA ensures that services reach communities at the hard to reach areas, providing support where it is most urgently needed.

This humanitarian response is made possible thanks to the generous support from the European Union Civil Protection and Humanitarian Aid.
