“Since we were displaced to the school, I was stressed about the time of giving birth, where and how would it be ? because our home has been demolished”.

Sawsan passed the 40 moments of the earthquake as difficult as everyone else, & the disaster was harder for her, as she was preparing for the birth of her daughter, "Haneen". She had to take a refuge in one of the temporary shelters.

"After giving birth, my depression increased dramatically, we don't know how we will fulfill Haneen's needs."

Haneen was born a month after the suffering of her family and many families in the shelters and their loss of their memories and what they were preparing for the moments they were waiting for. The mobile team of ASSL NGO in Aleppo provided support to Sawsan & her baby for a safe delivery.

"I was happy and relaxed during the time I spent in the session. I felt that there was someone who could understand the pressure we are going through and I was relieved."

Sawsan was also provided with the initial psychological support she needs as a result of the effects of the disaster and after giving birth.
