“When the earthquake happened, the 1st thing that came to my mind was my children. I rushed to their bedroom to wake them up and go down the street,” says Yousra, 40 years, pregnant in the 5th month, and has 7 children.

Yousra and other pregnant women in Sinjar sub-district in Idleb in northwestern Syria gathered around a medical mobile team، supported by UNFPA and run by its local partner SFPA to check in on their pregnancy.

The medical mobile team provides women and girls with lifesaving reproductive health services and Gender-Based Violence interventions.

At the present, Yousra and her husband and 7 children sleep in a small room because the earthquake caused tremendous damage to the rest of the rooms in their home.
