The 16 Days of Activism against Gender-based Violence (GBV) is an international campaign, which takes place between 25th November (marking the International Day against Violence against Women and Girls) and 10th December (marking International Human Rights Day).

The 16 Days symbolically link violence against women and human rights, and emphasizes that violence against women and girls is a violation of human rights. The 16 Days Campaign has been used by organizations, individuals and groups around the world to call for the elimination of all forms of violence against women and girls.
