Dear Sir/Madam,
We hereby solicit your quotation for the production/supply “Female Sanitary Napkins for UNFPA Warehouses”, as per the technical specification attached, including a column indicating the procurement projection/ quantities to be procured within a period of six months.

This Request for Quotation is open to all legally-constituted companies that can provide the requested goods and have legal capacity to deliver the items in Syria, or through an authorized legal representative.

The selected vendor is expected to provide the goods in light of the details and minimum specifications stated above, and submit the relevant technical/financial bid along with other requested documents and mandatory sample. UNFPA will review the submitted bids and conduct an overall evaluation to all bid components including the supplier capacity to deliver the goods to the final destination and prior to the contract award phase. In case of a satisfactory result from the evaluation process, UNFPA shall award a Purchase Order(s) based on solid request(s) during the coming six (6) months to the bidder has been determined to be substantially compliant with the bidding documents and assessment.

UNFPA shall compare all substantially responsive bids to determine the lowest priced substantially responsive bid. A substantially responsive bid is one that conforms to all the terms, conditions, and specifications of the bidding documents without material deviation, reservation, or omission. A material deviation, reservation, or omission is one that:
- affects in any substantial way the scope, quality, or performance of the goods and related services specified in the contract; or
- limits in any substantial way, inconsistent with the bidding documents, UNFPA’s rights or the bidder’s obligations under the contract; or
- if rectified would unfairly affect the competitive position of other bidders presenting substantially responsive bids.

UNFPA reserves the right to use the results of the tender after the (6) months bid validity. Following the (6) months period, UNFPA will conduct secondary bidding exercises inviting all technically compliant bidders to share their prices and delivery schedule.

The deadline for the submission of the offers  has been extended to  Monday 29th of March 2021. 12:00PM Damascus Time

Offers received after the deadline, or at another email address other than the one indicated in the above bidsyria@unfpa.org will be automatically DISQUALIFIED.

Please submit your quotation in USD/SYP currency. The conversion of the currency into the UNFPA preferred currency-if the offer is quoted differently from what is required, shall be based only on UN Operational Exchange Rate prevailing at the time of competition deadline.
