Midwives provide essential care to pregnant women, mothers and newborns in humanitarian settings. Yet, they often lack the support they need to save lives, including essential medicines, transportation networks and a health system that enable them to provide emergency obstetric care. Midwives Salam and Ghadira help women through Agha Khan Health Services in Hama supported by UNFPA Syria.
